Play Gym, Stay and Play (6mth - 4yrs)

Bridge Gymnastics Club

This class is for our smallest members, suitable from crawling up to age 4. Parents, carers and childminders can bring their children to explore the gymnastics environment to build fundamental movements in a fun and safe way. Children will have access to all of our equipment such as our trampoline track, foam pit, bars, beams etc. This can also be an opportunity to work on fine motor skills. This is an independent class and not instructor led, it will require a responsible adult to guide their gymnast. A qualified coach will be present for advice and guidance at all times.

CAMP

Summer Camp (4.5 - 16yrs)

Our fun filled Summer Camp for children aged P1+ is back! Camp includes; - Fun and games both indoors and outdoors - Flexibility and stretching - Gymnastics skills on floor, vault, bars, beam and trampoline - Arts and crafts What to wear Children should wear loose comfortable clothing such as jogging bottoms and a t shirt. Please bare in mind it gets very hot during the summer and we suggest they bring shorts they can change into and a cardigan or jacket for warm up as this keeps muscles warm and loose before training. No earrings including studs are permitted under the British gymnastic insurance policy. Food and snacks We do not provide food or snacks. All children must bring their own snack and a bottle of water (we will refill if required). We have a strict NO NUTS policy due to a number of members having serious allergies. Any products containing nuts, hazelnuts or may have traces of nuts will be removed and given back at the end of the day. Drop Off and Pick Up Summer Camp Essential Information Drop off is at our door on the youth centre side – parents must leave their children off at reception with the coaches. Parents cannot come into the main gym for summer camp. If your child is unable to attend alone please let us know and we can advise. Camps are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Workshop - Handstands and Cartwheels (5 - 13yrs)

This workshop will focus on developing the handstand and cartwheel - 2 fundamental skills for gymnastics. Gymnasts will focus on building sound technique, as well as exploring variations of each skill. Skills covered Cartwheel Handstand Handstand Forward Roll Pre-Requisites In order to attend this workshop, gymnasts must be able to *support their own body weight on their hands *complete a slow, static bunny hop *be comfortable being upside down

Mini Gym (3 - 4yrs)

Bridge Gymnastics Club

Mini Gym is for preschool 3 and 4 year olds. This is an independent class and children must be suitably potty trained before starting. Parents are not permitted in the gym. Pre-school gymnastics improves co-ordination, balance, strength and flexibilty through basic gymnastics movements on beam, bars, floor, vault, and tumble track. British Gymnastics membership (insurance) will be required after the second session, this is completed directly with them. You will be prompted when to do this. Please note that all classes are non refundable and non transferable.

Workshop - Walkovers (6 - 16yrs)

This workshop will focus on developing the front and back walkover. Gymnasts will focus on building sound technique, as well as exploring variations of each skill. Skills covered: Back walkover Front walkover Lumber Valdez Pre-Requisites In order to attend this workshop, gymnasts must be able to *be comfortable being upside down *fall back to bridge *strong handstand

Workshop - Back Handsprings (6 - 17yrs)

Bridge Gymnastics Club

This 1.5 hr workshop will focus on the back handspring. Gymnasts will work on progressions and developing sound technique, while also if able exploring variations of the above skill. This workshop is NOT suitable for beginners. Pre-Requisites In order to attend this workshop, gymnasts must be able to demonstrate the following *Strong handstand *Handstand pop *Handstand flat back *Good spatial awareness

Workshop - Front Somersault (6 - 17yrs)

This 1.5 hour workshop will focus on developing the front somersault. Gymnasts will focus on building sound technique, as well as exploring variations, pike front, straight front, front some walkout. Pre-Requisites In order to attend this workshop, gymnasts must be able to do a good strong handstand, dive roll and springboard technique.

Workshop - Back somersaults (6 - 17yrs)

Bridge Gymnastics Club

This 1.5 hour workshop will focus on developing the back somersault. Gymnasts will focus on building sound technique, as well as exploring variations, tuck back, straight back, twisting somersaults. Pre-Requisites In order to attend this workshop, gymnasts must be able to do a good strong handstand, round off and back roll .
